White chenille over a wooden frame, and rubberwood legs underneath — the Bark Chenille Armchair is a low-backed chair, and in a bedroom it becomes the chair by the window: shoes on in the morning, coat off at night, somewhere for someone to sit that is not the edge of the bed.

The chair takes 64.5cm out from whatever wall it stands against, and in a bedroom that is the number that settles it: a gap narrower than that between bed and wall and it ends up in another room. The arms finish close to the top of the back, so there is no shoulder to hang a coat over — whatever gets draped there is on the seat by morning.
