The footrest comes in the same box, and it only works standing in front of the chair, so what this one asks of a room is floor for both.
The seat starts 51cm off the floor. On a chair that moves under you, that is a lot of height: unless your legs are long, your heels come clear as soon as you sit back, and that is what the footrest is for — on a lower chair it would be an extra, at this height it is the other half of the seat. One box holds both, and assembly is required.
