Whatever floor you give it, give it the space behind as well: the backrest passes over the back of the rockers as it tips, and a skirting board is what it finds.
The seat measures 46.5cm from the front edge back to the upholstery. Thighs longer than that and you sit right to the back of it — knees clear of the edge, spine against the backrest — which is the position that survives a long feed. Shorter, and you perch on the front third with nothing behind your back.
