White bouclé over rubberwood legs, the Emma Boucle Armchair with Ottoman is a chair and a footstool sold as one thing, for the corner of a living room where somebody settles in for an hour. The loops that give bouclé its surface also give a claw or a watch clasp something to hook under — worth knowing before it goes in a house with a cat.
The seat is 45cm deep, and that is what lets the stool do anything: your knees are past the front edge while you are still sitting right back, so your feet reach it without your hips moving forward first. On a deeper seat you slide out to meet the stool, and hold your own back up all evening.
Where the floor in front of the chair is the walkway, the stool has nowhere to live: the Airi Boucle Armchair gives you the same white bouclé and no stool.
