Before a chair is ever sat in it has to get to the room. The Lina Linen Armchair - Dark Grey is built narrow for that trip: dark grey linen, a back that draws in above the arms, rubberwood legs beneath. It ends up on the landing at the top of the stairs about as often as in the lounge.
The number that decides it is 64cm, measured across the arms — not across the back, which is narrower and is where a tape measure naturally goes. At that width it turns through a doorway square, up a staircase with a bend in it, past the end of a kitchen bench, without being tipped on its side or walked backwards by two people.
