Dark green linen runs down the Puff Linen Armchair to a set of bare rubberwood legs — the seat somebody claims when the sofa is full and the film has started. The legs stand well inside the body: the space it needs is set at arm height, not at the skirting board, and a gap wide enough at floor level can still be too tight higher up.

Depth is where the size goes — 58cm of it, front edge to backrest. A thigh shorter than that will not reach the back of the seat with both feet down, which reads as a fault until you sit the way it expects: one foot up on the cushion, legs folded to the side, your back finally against something. Upright is the position it trades away.

Sitting square at a laptop is the one thing it does badly; the Ryan Tub Armchair gives 10.5cm less seat depth and suits that better.
