The desk chair is one seat; in a home office the Ronan PU Armchair is the other one — brown PU over a metal frame, on walnut-finished legs, with arms that sit barely above the cushion. A coated surface behaves unlike cloth: cold for the first minute on a winter evening, and in a warm room bare legs stick to it and let go with a sound.
The seat lands at 45.5cm, which puts it within a centimetre or two of the chairs around your table, and that is why it works where it does: a desktop meets your forearms rather than your chest, and it can be pulled to the table on the evening the house runs out of seats. A lounge seat in that corner does neither.
