The Wing Linen Armchair - Beige is not that chair: the back is drawn up into a wing on either side, and it stands on bare rubberwood legs. Beige linen creases where it is sat in, and a crease reads as shadow rather than as dirt, so this one looks used long before it looks worn.
Each arm is 28cm long, measured along its top from front edge to back — about a forearm and no further. Lay an arm along one and your hand comes off the end, out over the seat: nowhere to prop a book, nowhere to park a mug. Elbows in is how this chair expects to be sat in.
Anyone who reads with their legs folded up wants more seat than this. The Bark Chenille Armchair - Khaki is lower at the back and 9cm deeper in the seat.
