The Wing Linen Armchair - Dark Green wears a green dark enough to read as furniture rather than as fabric, wings standing off the back at each shoulder, four bare rubberwood posts underneath. In a bedroom it takes the corner by the wardrobe. Dark linen shows the opposite things to pale linen: marks sink in, lint does not, so what turns up is the pale stuff — hair, dust, the thread off a jumper.

Everything the chair weighs, and everybody who sits in it, reaches the floor through four posts 4.5cm across. A foot that narrow sits on top of a short pile and sinks into a deep one, so on thick carpet the chair settles unevenly as you lower yourself into it, and on vinyl or cork it presses four small marks that stay after the chair has moved. Lift it when you move it — dragging is what pulls four marks into four lines.
